In the midst of celebrating its 35 year commitment to the arts and community, Atlantic Center for the Arts is pleased to welcome Tory Tepp as its first Community Artist in Residence. The Community Artist in Residence will live in and work out of ACA’s downtown Harris House facility for four months and is committed to creating and working on projects that directly involve and engage the community. There will be weekly open studio hours and events that kick-off with Saturday September first’s opening from 4 to 7PM. It will be a perfect opportunity to meet, talk to, and welcome Tory to our community, so be sure to stop by.
Katherine Ball experiments with alternatives to the dominant discourse. She has lived in an off-grid, floating island building mushroom filters to clean a polluted lake, bicycled across the US filming a documentary about communities' solutions to the climate crisis, and co-organized the "Free Market" a free, gleaned food market that fed people experiencing homelessness and living in transitional housing.
